As every customers need is different, it is very difficult to publish the prices as one price does not fit all. As with building an extension, the costs for building the foundations built to an architect’s plan will be very similar. However, once you start considering; the wall finishes, number of electric sockets, the lightning, the plumbing and the soft furnishings then final cost can vary enormously. This is similar in the clothing decoration industry and although we would really like to provide all customers with a simple price list for garment decoration costs unfortunately there are so many permutations, range of logos and needs of the customer that a simple price list does not cover all options.
Embroidery will start with a set-up fee to convert your logo into a digital format that can be read by the embroidery machine. This involves redrawing the logo enabling the machine to know where and when to stitch and the order the colours are to be embroidered in. Once set up each logo varies in size and complexity. These factors alter the cost of the embroidery. For example, two lines of text at 100mm wide is relatively quick to set up to go onto the machine, so is cheaper than a detailed logo with 12 different colours that takes longer to set up and then sits on the embroidery machine longer.
Printing costs vary also, the larger the logo the more expensive it can be. The other cost for printing depends on the printing techniques used, which is chosen based on logo, size, product to be printed and number of garments to be printed. Ordering over 100 items with a single colour print will be more cost effective per print than a few garments with a full colour logo.
Other factors to consider include; adding an individual name onto the item, adding guarantee or certification logos and the number of locations on the garment to be decorated. And that’s before we even start to think about the varying type of garments.
